Hi There! I'm Sanae

Born in Rabat, Sanae, 29, is a young Moroccan artist who lives and works in Casablanca. Presently she is teaching at the Casablanca-based Technical High-School. Sanae is a graduate of the National Fine Arts Institute in Tetouan (the Class of 2013) and a multidisciplinary artist.

Having earned her degree, acquired a rich experience marked by a notable influence by northern artists, and mastery of several techniques and media (painting, drawing, engraving, installation, among others), Sanae seeks, first and foremost, to situate herself, along with her sensibility and tools, vis-à-vis sundry problematic social issues which affect day-to-day life.

During her travels, she has personally enriched her approach by endowing it with a multicultural and multidisciplinary dimension so as to progress towards a universal form of expression, which is characteristic of any well-considered artistic approach.

Her vested interest in the complexity of situations and human relations is readily seen in her works (as is the case, indeed, with her work centred on the connection with space in places experiencing some transition). This is conveyed in alienation series and yellow line, which evolve reinforce themselves over time.

With her sensibility, the artist would like to put to the fore the relation between economic development and architecture, along with the influence they exercise on the behaviour of people who make use of them.

WAIT BEHIND YELLOW LINE

technique mixte sur papier
12,5/17,5 cm
2018
